Foursquare Tips

  • Loud as fuck at brunch.
  • Try the eggplant sandwich with a side salad. Skip the matzoh ball soup though.
  • A must-try on the menu, according to co-owner Dean Jankelowitz, is Freda's matzo ball soup. "Matzo ball transcends anything," he said. "It's a New York dish."
  • Eat this: matzo ball soup made with duck fat, a skirt steak sandwich served alongside hand-cut fries, & piri-piri-hot-sauce-marinated chicken kebabs, soft-boiled eggs with challah "soldiers" (AM only)
  • In the morning, find Stumptown coffee, homemade croissants and full breakfast plates, including soft-boiled eggs with challah "soldiers" (strips).
  • Your head says eat a healthy salad, your stomach demands meat. Strike a great compromise with the tuna, avocado, and greens salad for lunch.
  • We love coming to this effortlessly cute spot for a romantic brunch. Definitely try the Prego Roll, the Rosewater Waffle or the Green Shakshuka and a Sweetened Iced Green Tea.
  • Grilled haloumi & chicken kebabs are must haves. Side of fries with whatever other entree you want (chopped salad is for babies!) and mint lemonade.
  • The Mediterranean Breakfast is a soft yet filling option. Eggs any style with pita, avocado and salad. Yummy in your tummy.
  • Peri-peri chicken is awesome. Cauliflower app as well. Great restaurant
  • Make sure to order a side of labne, olive oil, zataar and grilled pita bread. Great item to share amongst the table.
  • The best breakfast downtown. Sadly these slackers don't open before 10am.
  • Zucchini fries, done right, can be even better than their potato counterparts. Here, it's a perfect crunch on the outer shell and zucchini that practically melts in your mouth. Chase with cold beer.
  • Must try their Flourless Chocolate cake! It has Chipotle which takes the flavor to an out-of-this-world experience. Loved it!
  • Get breakfast for lunch.
  • Don't get the soft-boiled eggs. They're overcooked and unopened, so you'll be embarking on journey of awkwardness as your party watches you try to break, peel, and unsuccessfully dunk on your own.
  • Every meal I've had here has been delightful. Great food and really friendly service. You can expect a wait any hour of the day, always worth it.
  • Grilled salmon on the marinated kale was delish !
  • Don't get the matzah ball soup. It's awful. Seriously.
  • Peri-peri chicken, arugula salad, and the delicious flourless chipotle chocolate cake. The fries are also a solid win.
