Foursquare Tips

  • The French is an institution, and if you havent been there yet, you should consider yourself a failure.
  • An evergreen haunt of Soho barflies, the French House should have 'La Marseillaise' playing as you walk in.
  • Don't get confused - they only sell halves!
  • Make the most of the hooks to hand your bags, and forget all the rest: here it's all about serious drinks and great conversations.
  • Don't accidentally mistake the blonde bar maid for a bloke and call her "mate". She's lovely, but will treat you funny for the rest of the evening.
  • Sit back, relax and order a glass of wine. An attempt at ordering in French goes a long way! "Un verre de vin s'il vous plat." [uhN vehr duh vuhN seel-voo-pleh]
  • By a drink for Eddie
  • Try the Breton cider - it rocks! Good people watching outside...
  • Usually crowded, but with a good mix (lawyers, students, artists, tourists); small, traditional, wood-panelled pub with photographs all around. Lovely staff, intimate atmosphere, all-around cosy.
  • Nice place, great decorations and atmosphere. The barman, not very well prepared but it's cheap!
  • Awesome Breton cider; always eclectic and cool crowds
  • Nice selection of drinks. They only sell half pints.
  • Nice decor inside.
  • La cerveza French house est muy buena, no tienen pintas, solo medias.
  • Nice bar, but mad packed busy most of the time
  • Focal point for French resistance in World War II.
  • O kadar da iyi degil
  • . )))
  • Amazing history - a soho gem
  • Downstairs can get really busy, but there is another generally quieter bar upstairs.
