  • Actress Phoebe Cates calls this UES spot her "sanctuary of sanity" in this week's NY Diet. She and husband Kevin Kline love the steak au poivre.
  • Excellent quality, always consistent throughout the years! Excellent, Friendly and Efficient staff, one of the top top Italian restaurants in the world! You simply can't go wrong ordering anything!
  • Best night is Wednesday...spaghetti & meatball night!!
  • Pasta Primavera was phenomenal. Has a typical cozy Italian restaurant ambiance.
  • The best consistent Italian food in New York in the last 25 years or more! Top quality service by professional staff members who have been there forever!
  • The best zuppa di peshe ever!!!
  • The chicken parm - not listed on the menu - and the tortellini were delicious
  • Neighborhood spot with decent food. However, if you are planning to enjoy a cozy date night or something, then this is not the place as it is very loud and crowded.
  • All-time favorite Italian restaurant. On my birthday, our waiter overheard me mention chicken piccata (they have veal piccata on the menu) and offered to have it prepared. Great food & service!
  • Everything, the bar with Youseff, the duck salad and the swordfish!!!
  • Chicken Parmigiana was great! Bartender was terrific as well...first time and Ill definitely be back...
  • pasta, specials
  • The chicken parm was amazing, as advertised!
  • This place is hands down, my favorite Italian restaurant. Order the white bean ravioli. Always crowded, and you'll prob have to wait even with a res. But who cares. You're about to have the best meal.
  • Great spot. Loved the spaghetti, but you can't go wrong with most dishes. Sitting outside is a bit quieter than inside, at times.
  • Chicken Parm is amazing, Caesar salad is unreal - you can ask for whatever you want not on the menu and the chef will make it
  • Get the Veal Parm or Veal Bolognese (veal sliced thin with cheese and prosciutto), both off the menu.
  • Food was outstanding! Very authentic, old-school Italian. We saw Tom Selleck dining next to us (they say he's always there!) definitely try their risotto and chicken dishes!
  • Awesome Italian restaurant with an old school feel and fantastic service. Fresh past, seafood, and Italian classics. Start with the off the menu veal parmigiana, it's the best in the city.
  • Best old school Italian food on the UES. Great wine list. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Great for special occasions.
