We searched the globe for some truly incredible gingerbread; from petit and intricate works of art to life sized masterpieces.

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel has an incredible Gingerbread Extravaganza for 2017. This year’s holiday-inspired gingerbread creation showcases today’s attention on climate change, sustainability and clean energy through a representation of the California landscape and how The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel supports and protects the environment. It is on display through Tuesday, January 2.

Hotel Adlon, Berlin, is displaying a Gingerbread House that is almost six feet long, three feet deep and over two feet high. Over 55 pounds of Gingerbread was used for the replica of the Adlon and five employees from their patisserie team worked on the project for roughly 45 hours. Everything is handmade by the team, using sugar, chocolate and marzipan.

Washington DC’s landscape can be found in a sweet gingerbread array at Gaylord National Resort. Complete with White House, Reflecting Pool and Capitol, a plethora of winter activities greet families at this DC property.

The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, always goes over-the-top for its gingerbread display and this year is no exception: the 12-foot-tall replica of the Pauline Chapel incorporates almost 1,000 pounds of powdered sugar, 475 pounds of flour, 650 eggs, 200 pounds of honey, 89 pounds of butter and thousands of candies, chocolates and breads.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is hosting a winter celebration with Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber and his “Penguins Christmas Party” display. The playful parade combines 150 pounds of chocolate, 90 pounds of fondant, 60 pounds of frosting, and took over one week of intensive work.

Want some gingerbread you can sink your teeth into? Head to Jade Mountain, a luxury resort in St. Lucia. The Banana, Rum and Cocoa Nib Gingerbread from Chef Allen Susseris is a holiday treat not to miss. This decadent dessert is made with fresh local St. Lucian bananas, dark Caribbean rum, and both powdered and fresh grated ginger for a deep, authentic gingerbread flavor. Chef Allen’s gingerbread is finished with a sprinkling of sugar and cocoa nibs, sourced from the resort’s organic Emerald Farm, which has more than 1,000 cocoa trees, and is best enjoyed warm and spread with butter.
