Khloe Kardashian Leads the Body Positivity Movement

Khloe Kardashian opened her newest pop-up GOOD AMERICAN in Glendale, CA at the Rick Curuso Americana at Brand on Dec.1.

There were 25 eager fans waiting in line to be the first inside the store for a glimpse of the Grand Opening. Two large clear, black and white balloon bouquets dazzled with silver decorated the front. Bigger-than-life photos of co-founders Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede framed the doorway. Khloe modeled a white mini dress with silver stars strategically placed on her chest, while wearing silver thigh-high shiny boots.

As leaders in the body positivity movement, Khloe and Emma wanted to create a clothing line for curvy girls and ladies. The clothing in this store ranges in size from 00 to 24. They are designed to be sexy and accentuate stronger shapes on women. Emma believes that "Body ideals really have shifted in the last few years.”

Both women had a hard time finding jeans to fit their body type. “Emma and I both agreed there was something missing from the denim community,” says Khloe. "We knew if we both had this problem, there must be tons of girls who did too. So we set out to make a denim line that’s sexy and flattering.”

At GOOD AMERICAN, sizes 16 to 24 are equivalent to the industry standard plus sizes 16W to 24W. Clothing starts at $55 for t-shirts—Goodies Icon Tee or Flag Tee. High waisted jeans and curve-enhancing bodysuits start at $129. High-waisted denim skirts with a contour waistband start at $135, and high waisted shorts start at $110. Comfortable twisted seam sweatpants start at $119. Accessories start at $15 for a iPhone case and $20 for socks. Baseball caps are $35.

For every pair of jeans sold, GOOD AMERICAN will donate to Step Up, an organization that propels girls from under-resourced communities to fulfill their potential. The jeans are made downtown in Los Angeles and can also be found exclusively at the GOOD AMERICAN store until January 2018. The clothing line is also sold online at, and through select Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Selfridges & Co locations.
