Tips

  • The Museum of Natural History was founded in 1920 & started out as a small wooden building on a public square. The rooms were crowded with various species of animals earning it the nickname The Ark.
  • A great place for kids. Don't miss it. Try the exploring lab at the lower level.
  • Definitely check out the Balto exhibit. He was one sweet dog!
  • Overshadowed by the art mueseum nearby but is well updated and has some cool exhibits. Enjoyed the face controlled mouse cursor demo
  • Amazing. So many wonderful exhibits. Very family friendly. Be sure and get lunch in the cafe too. Very friendly employees and super yummy food.
  • Visit the Planetarium & Observatory for $4 to see the stars and planets!
  • Mythic creatures exhibit coming soon! It looks really exciting!
  • Inspiring a passion for nature through science & education, the museum has hands-on exhibits that are kid friendly. Dont miss the dinosaur exhibit. $10/adult ($6 after 5pm on Weds) & $7+ for kids.

  • The exhibits were ok. It's not DC, NYC or Chicago but at least it's something.
