  • "Cafe Oto opened in April 2008 has quickly established itself as a venue for music that exists on the periphery of the mainstream.."
  • Get there early to get a seat!
  • One of the greatest place for improv music & free jazz in the UK. My favourite!
  • great place for Interneting and jazz
  • Busy venue with lots of great cultural and music events. A little bit pretentious if you attend on the wrong night.

  • Specialise in booking musicians that exist outside of the mainstream - they host an annual Japanese music festival and a regular meeting of the London Improvisors Orchestra. Beautiful when candle-lit!
  • Too many pretentious twats eating cous cous, pseudo-intellectualising, and paying too much for everything.
  • Evidently, there is no pitch too high for the avant garde...
  • Like the Book Club, but more authentic.
  • Excellent hot chocolate
  • Try this place out - recommended to me several times now
  • try the mango beer. Dangerously fruity.
  • Sat outside on Saturday reading fairy tales and eating scarily over-priced-but-lovely chocolate truffle. (Really? 1 for a chocolate Oto?)
  • I love to sit & work here yet still I'd not say that their coffee tastes good enough.
  • interior needs bloody good tidy up and a lick of paint
  • Great place with good intellectual people, superb coffee and whiskey. Ive been to a gig and I wish theyd do something with the ventilation, it gets pretty hot inside. But otherwise its great!
  • Coffee, fresh food
  • There's a period where they don't do any food, but when they do it's middle eastern inspired and wonderful. Great music almost every night.
  • Good venue, great staff. Interesting events.
