Boulevard Brewing CansKansas City, MI’s Boulevard Brewing is the latest brewery to begin canning their beers and will also introduce a new beer called Heavy Lifting IPA. Founded in 1989 and ranked the 12th largest craft brewer in America, Boulevard Brewing was purchased by Duvel Moortgat, owners of Ommegang Brewery and together combine to be the 8th largest craft brewer. Boulevard Brewing is well known for their best selling Unfiltered Wheat Beer and their Pop-Up Session IPA which will be two of the four beers that will be made available in 12oz cans and presumably six-packs. Joining them will be Ginger Lemon Radler, a that sounds like a terrific twist on the growing in popular style and a brand new beer called Heavy Lifting IPA.

Boulevard Ambassador Brewer, Jeremy Danner writes:
New to the lineup is Heavy Lifting IPA. Based on the wildly successful Tasting Room beer, Mid-Coast IPA, Heavy Lifting joins the family as a year-round offering available in both cans and on draft. Think of Heavy Lifting as a close cousin to Mid-Coast IPA. Coming in at 6.2% ABV and 80+ IBUs, Heavy Lifting features massive late and dry-hopping with Centennial, Amarillo, Topaz and Citra hops that leap from a minimal malt base composed of our base pale malt and a touch of Munich malt.

Exact release dates have not been announced but it looks like we can expect Boulevard cans in the first half of 2015.
