Foursquare Tips

  • The onion soup is sweetened by aggressive carmelization of onions within a very rich broth and topped by a thick slab of Gruyre cheese, a paragon of this old standby.
  • Must have Any Of thier risotto dishes!
  • The best bistro in Chicago for the price and food.
  • Escargot is fantastic!
  • Wonderful, adventurous but reasonable wine list. Benedict trio for bunch is so much delicious fabulousness you'll want to split or share.
  • Lyonnaise onion soup, escargots persillade, and all the classics are yours at this Parisian bote in Old Town.
  • To get to the profiteroles (or bread pudding, or apple tart) at the end of this Easter prix fixe, you go through two other courses (choices include salmon tartare, onion soup, quiche) first.
  • Ask Adam to make you a Sazerac.
  • Wonderful. Croquet Monsieur was wonderful! Add the egg for nice treat. Wonderful service!
  • Must have French Onion Soup--every-time I'm here!
  • Best French Onion Soup on the face of the planet. Incredible Croque Monsieur, better than you'll find in France, and if you're there for lunch try the peppercorn beef sandwich...great!
  • This place has a great, surprisingly well priced bunch menu, really good place to go and doesn't have the crowds of other breakfast places in the area.
  • Don't go here if you have any familiarity with French cuisine. I'm pretty sure everything we had was either microwaved or came from a can.
  • Daily risotto is always interesting and delicious! Come here when you are not in a hurry and truly enjoy your meal.
  • Steak frites!
  • Really nice brunch, get the Florentine Benedict & a mimosa!
  • Still not sure why it's so popular; mussels pretty good, bouillabaisse not so much
  • Reliable regular and tasty menu items are supplemented by daily specials. Daily quiche special was to die for - tasted like we were in Paris. Prices reasonable. The locals like it!
  • Good wine, great steak frites, good for a group or special occasion
  • The only way this bistro could get more French is if Grard Depardieu were tap dancing on a table.
