Health experts at Vivier Health have found that smoothies “have the ability to cover a wider space in the gastrointestinal system than solid foods, which have to be broken down.” Replacing meals with healthy smoothies gives your body time to rest and recover after a serious bout of heartburn.

Samgria
In addition to her Q&A about Sam Adams, its new beers and brewing in general, the brewery's beverage manager, Jennifer Glanville, shared a Samuel Adams Summer Ale Sangria — or “Samgria” — recipe that can be made at home with the summer beer.  This cocktail uses Sam Adams' Summer Ale, which is celebrating its 21st birthday this summer. The beer is an American wheat ale that balances bright, citrusy noble hops and peppery spice.  "It’s one of our most highly anticipated annual releases and definitely one of my favorite beers we brew," Glanville says.

Midnight Sangria recipe - The Daily Meal
The color of this delicious sangria may be dark and moody but its flavor is bright and crisp. Watermelon and basil salad
This bright, summer salad includes just a few ingredients but packs incredible flavor. The key is the balance of sweet, salty, and savory components — the sweet comes from the watermelon, the salty comes from the crumbled feta cheese, and the savory comes from the basil and citrus vinaigrette.  See all watermelon recipes. Melon soup
When the weather gets hot, nothing beats a chilled melon soup. Inspired by a two-soups-in-one-bowl appetizer at Rebeccas in Greenwich, Conn., I decided to play with color and use two different melons when making the soup. This is a really easy recipe that is perfect for a healthy mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or with some prosciutto and mint and a couple of crostini topped with honey and ricotta for a light mid-summer dinner. While I added a splash of sweet Vin Santo to the soups, I find that not using any wine yields a just as lovely result. Click here to see 7 Cold Summer Soups.
