Bacon Cheeseburger
I grew up in Kansas and, like any good meat-loving Midwestern gal, possess an unyielding appreciation for a medium-rare bacon cheeseburger. I have a hard time convincing myself to order red meat at restaurants on the East Coast (it's expensive, and I'm admittedly snobby about my Kansas cows*) so I had to learn how to make the perfect cheeseburger on my own. After many iterations, here it is — simple, greasy, gooey, and absolutely delicious. *To be fair, I don't even think about touching sushi when I'm back home!

cheeseburger
This recipe seems simple in nature, but when you look closer you’ll see there are extra steps taken to make sure that a classic such as a Cheddar cheeseburger is treated well and tastes good. Tender shallots are cooked down and braised in white-wine vinegar to create a topping to a tender patty mixed with minced garlic. A little bit of mayonnaise and peppery arugula are all that are needed to complete this unassuming yet delicious burger. Click here to see 50 Best Burger Recipes

McDonald's Cheeseburger
Did you know that McDonald’s was once called McDonald’s Bar-B-Q? Dick and Mac McDonald had no idea that at the time, but their extensive barbecue menu wouldn’t be how they made their profit. The McDonald’s Cheeseburger was there from the get-go, but the sales took off during the '60s and McDonald’s began to focus on the reliable, profitable burgers and friesClick here to see How to Make 10 Iconic McDonald’s Dishes at HomeClick here to see 10 Iconic McDonald's Menu Items Recipes
