"Steak and curry, two of my favourite foods in a pie! It doesn’t get better than this for us steak and curry lovers. This is the perfect way to serve up a quick, tasty, family supper." -Kevin Dundon. This recipe comes courtesy of The Raglan Road Cookbook: Inside America's Favorite Irish Pub by Kevin Dundon and Neil Cubley. This is a simple beef curry that my husband and I enjoy. It's not too spicy, so feel free to adjust the curry to taste. Make sure to use a good curry, because it really is important to get the right taste. If you want extra heat, add scotch bonnet pepper.
This is our top family favorite. Everyone always asks for the recipe, just be prepared to be embarrassed, because it's so simple! Everyone always thinks there is so much more to it. My mom got this in the early '70's from a neighbor when I was 11 yrs. old and came home raving about how great dinner smelled next door. . So don't let the simplicity of this recipe fool you, it is fantastic! This can be made obviously with fresh onion, but the dried onion does add a distinct flavor to the dish.
