  • With its Art Deco bar and red-and-cream booths, original terrazzo floors, and acoustical-tile ceiling, Long Island Bar has a casual authenticity that starts with the neon and continues inside.
  • Loving the 1950's ambiance. Fully expecting Biff Tanner to walk through the door and offer me a knuckle sandwich. Recommend the bourbon old fashioned - served proper with one giant ice cube.
  • I have never been to a bar in NYC (possibly anywhere) where the staff was so kind. And, oh yeah, their drinks are top notch. This is the bar of dreams.
  • Finally a bar where you can have a conversation--and a decent cocktail
  • Great neighborhood cocktail bar. Straightforward drink menu. Solid bartenders. The gimlet is great, though very tart. Not a scene yet, but that'll change once the word gets out.
  • Drink everything
  • Beautiful restoration, terrific drinx, friendly staff!
  • dope ambiance.
  • The outside will have you expecting milk shakes and grilled cheeses, but jump inside and grab an old fashioned in an old school diner.
  • Step into the 1950s and order yourself a boulevardier.
  • Carefully restored to its art deco glory, this spot reopened looking exactly how it must have in the 1940's. They pour a great cocktail and full kitchen opens mid-February. Order a Boulevardier.
  • They serve up classy classic cocktails at 12 bucks a pop. LI Gimlet packs a punch. They are still looking for a chef to run their kitchen but anticipate food service to begin in Feb. Here's hoping!
  • Great service. Tables in the back offer a quieter vibe than by the bar.
  • Burger is amazing! Double patties and melted cheese and some bacon. Our new favorite in the neighborhood. French fries are kind of spicy, not the regular. I like that less but its a matter of taste
  • Brunch on Sunday's only! Get the burger or the egg sandwich (obviously with the bacon wheel). Both uses a soft toasted brioche bun and comes with unbelievably crisp fries (a little salty but whatevs)
  • Katie is the best!!!
  • Lovingly restored 1950's Bar. Gimlets rule. Bartenders rock. Great place for drinks.
  • Awesome snacks.
  • Excellent drinks!
  • The sign says no dancing - but do it anyway. Also they don't take Amex but give free shots as a consolation prize.
