Foursquare Tips

  • They have prosecco on tap. For reals.
  • When they close, don't go out all the way, the silver door to the left at the exit will lead you downstairs to home sweet home
  • Okay...imagine an Anthropolgie morphed into a bar and you've got the gist of Fig 19. SPECTACULAR place for a single woman to celebrate her 30th.
  • The drinks are a bit on the sweet side -- and there's proseco on tap if that's your jam -- but it has a chill vibe in the back of an art gallery that's a great reprieve from the rest of the LES.
  • Order a drink from a bartender! It's rude to help yourself!
  • One of the only places where I'll trust them to make a Sazerac. Also recommended: "Midnight in Paris" and "Vanishing Point"
  • Above Home Sweet Home's ground-floor entrance. Once on the 2nd fl, a bouncer will greet you at what seems to be an art gallery. Through the gallery you'll find Fig 19. Order the jalapeno margarita.
  • Careful not to walk down the stairs to Wierd bar. Walk through the gallery and don't say you are with the DJ.
  • The bartender made me a specialty bisongrass vodka cucumber martini - so good! Not on the menu but definitely worth asking for
  • To get to Fig. 19, you have to walk through an art gallery above the popular subterranean dance spot Home Sweet Home and open up the door in the very back. Once youre inside, it feels like home.
  • Once you've made your way past the three assorted objects in the "gallery" and into this bar, a) check out the awesome cash machine, and b) order a Vanishing Point, slightly sweet, still refreshing.
  • First off, the bathrooms smell like magic. Good smelling magic.
  • Midnight in Paris is amazing: spicy, chocolate, complicated. The Vanishing Point is sweet, smooth and rich. The Ginger Sling is dangerously refreshing.
  • Cozy and classy but exclusive speakeasy in NYC. If you can get past the bouncer, go.
  • Try the Rhapsody in Rye followed by the Ginger Sling. Both deliciously complex and full of flavor.
  • The Rhapsody in Rye is just...yes. Do it.
  • Prosecco on tap! Can it get better?
  • super nice atmosphere with reasonable prices!
  • It's just a speakeasy, not a cocktail place like most others on manhattan. I would rather call it basement bar decorated with freaky dead animals. There's a disco ball, and it's pretty hipster style.
  • Hidden at the back of an art gallery, this Speakeasy offers some solid cocktail offering
