Foursquare Tips

  • Count Basie played here, as well as Billie Holliday, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington and others. The 24 hour liquor license made for some wild and crazy parties here.
  • The service was mediocre at best but it is a Miami institution. Great gin selection.
  • Fun ambience, live music and surprisingly good cocktails. Definitely a hidden gem.
  • Calle ocho old fashioned is strong! the tobacco flavor and aroma great. The mojito is one of the best you'll have in Miami. The bananita daiquiri is like a boozy smoothie, it was sweet, i loved it
  • The Easter colors reflect in a Margarita mixed with Pueblo Viejo. Get yours here at Ball & Chain!
  • It's nice and it has an indoor and outdoor... it has a nice stage in the back outside.
  • Best cocktail = The Jam Session
  • Music and vibe and mojitos
  • Cocktails and live music
  • Calle me a cooler
  • With history dating back to 1935, Ball & Chain is the anchor of Little Havanas Calle Ocho. Check the calendar, hit it when theres live music on the Pineapple Stage.

  • Live Cuban music, 2-for-1 Happy hour, great mojitos!
  • Call me a cooler is absolutely one of the most delicious cocktails I've had
  • Go when it's busy to get a good Cuban atmosphere and make sure there is not a private event so you can see the back area
  • Not for eating. Mojitos are too small
