Tips
- Sietsema: Every $7 bowl of soup is a score. Chicken for two is roasted to order (requires 45 mins). Brined in garlic, thyme, black peppercorns and lemon peel, the three-pounder makes fabulous eating.
- Highly recommend the Duck Confit Cassoulet-style!
- The Prosciutto Pizza is pretty delicious, good for an appetizer or entree.
- Filipino spring rolls and prosciutto pizza
- Charred tomato soup
- If you feel like going to Brooklyn style avant garde restaurant in Washington Dc, this is the place. One of the most genuine menus I have ever seen. Very good wine selection!
- avoid the pizza. mine was burnt, flavorless and didn't have shittakes (apparently they cldnt add mushrooms b/c they were being saved for the mushroom fettuccini)
- Try the tomato and arugula salad. It's simple, fresh, and incredibly delicious.
- Cool space, cool posters. Good drinks. Fun fact: this place is named for DC rapper Wales small child
- The Ramen is surprisingly good
- The Salami Pizza was so good we got two. I recommend the Grilled Gruyere Cheese and Smithfield Ham Sandwich!
- Extremely slow service... Be prepared for a long dinner. The food is just okay but the atmosphere and decor is relaxing and quite beautiful
- A mess. Brought wrong beer. Salad overdressed, and somehow they didn't have roasted chicken...on a Saturday dinner service...for the first table.
- Good pizza... Super trendy
- Meatballs at $14 were quite tasty but kinda a small meal. Watermelon radishes in the salad were very unique!
- Service was slow but the pork rib is WORTH THE WAIT.
- Slow service and mediocre food.
- Great bar scene. Friendly bartenders and patrons.
- Washingtonian says don't miss: Heirloom-tomato salad; Gruyre-and-tomato grilled cheese; mozzarella porcupine; roast chicken for two; lobster roll with French fries; Filipino-style spring rolls.
- Knocked my beer over, bartender replaced said amount of beer, coming back
