  • The B&Os famous roundhouse was once the largest circular industrial building in the world. It now houses 15,000 artifacts, including Americas oldest steam locomotive. (From Aerial America)

  • Visited Museum on our daughters 3rd b-day Saturday 1-18/2014 & the three of us enjoyed ourselves very much. What a neat plc, beautiful trains, & very educational as well. We give B&O 5 Stars Wonderful
  • They have a penny squish machine (four different designs) in the entrance room of the museum. You do not have to pay admissions to use it :)

  • Home to the most powerful steam engine locomotive ever built! Take time to explore the Civil War history of the B&O in The War Came By Train exhibit here until 2015.
  • Amazing: great for train lovers as well as history buffs. The Civil War exhibit also has tons of African-American history. And it's off the free Circulator's Orange Route!
  • One of my favorite places to check out. The birthplace of modern railroading.
  • Go into the roundhouse and stare up. Marvel at the architecture. It's amazing. The scale of the whole place is impressive.
