Tips

  • From a working dig site & paleo lab to an indoor tropical garden with live butterflies; from stunning historic dioramas to live animals you can touch - You just can't help but learn while you're here.
  • From 1:00-3:00 p.m. on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays , a scientist comes out from the lab to introduce the public to a project like skinning birds, pressing plants or sorting bugs.
  • Check out the live beehive in the Outside-in room.
  • Everything is amazing here. From the huge dinosaur bones to the butterfly room and the massive rock of quartz, this place is great. A wonderful atmosphere for kids and adults alike.
