  • NASA pilots fly some of the fastest flight vehicles on the planet. The Peregrine Falcon is one of the fastest birds on the planet reaching speeds of 140mph! See one in action at the Raptor Center.
  • Make sure to visit one of our favorite Sounders FC supporters, Rico Suave the donkey.
  • Took some out of towners to see one of the best zoo's in the world!
  • Bring your own food and get there early because the animals are more active and you find free parking in the residential areas saves you money I also recommend get zoo membership depending on visits !
  • Download the WPZ app for the iPhone! It's awesome!
  • Early is better, and children with manners would be great. Pay attention moms, dads, and nannies.
  • The bird house sure is intense.
  • Enter at the North Gate (on 59th) or West Gate (Phinney and 55th) to avoid long lines at the South Gate (main entrance). Street parking is often available along Phinney.Powered by ParentsConnect.com

  • All The Wild Cats Are GORGEOUS!! My Favorite Part Of The Day, I Can Actually Say I Fed Giraffes!! I LOVE GIRAFFES!!
  • Got a free sea turtle bobble-head at the gift shop for my first check in! Also, best looking male lion I've seen in a zoo, he even roared!
  • Free parking on surrounding streets! Just gotta know where to look!!
  • Skip the main food place and head to Pacific Blue Chowder House. The food is better and it's less crowded. The outdoor seating can be tough if it's raining so bring a towel to wipe down the seating.

  • If you're a frequent visitor, park for free on 50th, near Woodland Park. It's a gravel lot, but has an easy path to South front entrance.
