Foursquare Tips

  • Have an al fresco dinner by the fountain.
  • The best part is you feel like youre really in an urban park, with some of the citys most recognizable architecture standing tall all around you. It may not be Central Park -- but its ours.
  • 4th of July was a lot of fun! Just don't come truck lines were so long! Fireworks were awesome...had good time!!
  • Take Metro Red or Purple line, exit Civic Center station towards Temple street exit, and you're right in the middle of the park!
  • If you're going to sit out on the grass for some of the free concerts or events bring a blanket a hat sunglasses and sunscreen. There's no shade on the grass.
  • Dip your bare feet in the water. It is lovely watching the fountain change colors as you walk around. Take in a free concert, lunchtime yoga session, farmer's market, or coffee at Starbucks! :-)
  • #sundaysession in the summer time, do it!
  • At night they have a jam fest at the park. But you have to park at the music center. My suggestion is to either take the bus or train or you could pay the 9.00 fee at the music center
  • Don't ride your bike "recklessly" or you will be questioned by the police.
  • As of 7/28 half open, between Hill & Grand - that's where the fountain is!
  • Near the fountain there's a "take a book/leave a book" nook.
