Places That Will Keep You Coming Back

Welcome to the Best Coast! Whether you’re living here or just visiting to enjoy the weather, the Los Angeles vegan food scene has something for every taste.

With more vegan restaurants than any other city on the West Coast, L.A. is the perfect place to introduce your vegan-curious loved ones to plant-based cuisine of every type.

Many celebrities go here for fine dining, and chef Tal Ronnen whips up some of the most intricate and decadent dishes imaginable, including almond cheese–stuffed tortelloni, heart of palm “crab” cakes, and New York–style cheesecake.

Entirely vegan and packed with a ton of California-grown produce, Sage’s cuisine always impresses. Two must-have dishes are the jackfruit nachos and vegan chilaquiles. Both L.A. locations have unique perks—the Culver City location has a beer garden and pizzas.

by Chloe.

A New York City original that popped up right here in Silver Lake, “by Chloe.” is the brainchild of chef Chloe Coscarelli. It serves all the fast- and comfort-food staples, like burgers, mac and cheese, and meatball sandwiches, with none of the cruelty.

Today, @fingerlickingvegan and I made the drive to Silverlake to try the new By Chloe restaurant. It was everything I imagined it would be and more. It was all deliciously wonderful and everything was so cute and photographable. I'm a happy girl. Organix Vegan Deli

Once in a while, a sandwich comes along that makes you wish you could eat it every day. The Organix Mac Daddy is such a sandwich. This deli offers not only the Mac Daddy but also a ton of other vegan fast food. Be on the lookout on their Instagram for the illusive Macdilla, which is the Mac Daddy wrapped inside a quesadilla.

the #macdaddy showed up too. the #homemade patties from @organixla are the best alternatives compared to the murderous classic. tastes so much better too! catch this burger in our upcoming vid on #YouTube with the #foodcrew! or grab one if youre in the area! #organixLA #thisismyspot #veganbigmac #eaglerock #pollutionLA #veganfoodshare #staytuned @vegandeedee

Fala Bar

Fala Bar is a trendsetter for being an all-vegan falafel-and-burger place and for having five different types of falafel: original, spicy, kale, crunchy, and even sweet-potato.

Are you about that #kale burger life? Still one of my favorite burgers on the west side, @falabar in Hollywood and Venice are a go-to spot for a quick and filling eat. #EatDrinkVegan
