Tips

  • It's totally empty in the morning.
  • The checkout line moves very quickly, thankfully.
  • The lines are a nightmare in the later afternoons and evenings, but this is probably the best organized NYC store and a great lunch spot if you're close!
  • The key to this store is to shop in pairs while standing in line
  • When the double lines get long, always choose the one on the inside. Always.
  • Clean public restrooms:)
  • Looking for garnishes for your next Bloody Mary? Check out TJs selection of olives & pickled items. Totally legit. Also swing by produce for celery. Find a Bacon Bloody how-to on kitchenkonfidence.com
  • Surprised by how short the line looks from outside? Think again, they do a superb job of hiding a line that snakes around the back of the store!
  • If you are bad, they paddle you
  • Cut you some flax. Try adding flaxseed or its oil to your meals. Trader's has it golden roasted, milled, whole, in cereal, in oatmeal. The health benefits are plentiful and the taste is yummy.
  • I'll take this location over 14 st any day
  • Most spacious aisles I've ever seen in the 212. Let's see how long that lasts.
  • Can we discuss how rude it is to shop while you're in line? I mean, I get it but c'mon
  • The key around the line is to shop in pairs. #DivideAndConquer
  • Definitely beats the Union Square location, mainly because it's always less crowded, although lines still can be lengthy.
  • Oh shit they have strawberry and chocolate coconut
  • TJs is a great place to find seasonal produce. Pick up a bag or two of blood oranges (while you still can) for this Blood Orange Olive Oil Cake. So flavorful! Get the recipe on kitchenkonfidence.com.
  • Wide aisles, great selection, fast checkout & very friendly staff.
  • Wayyyyy better and nicer crowd here. Keep it good Chelsea.
  • Pumpkin is back! They have pumpkin Greek yogurt, ice cream, soup, butter, cheesecake, cream cheese, muffin mix, ravioli, and more.
