Tips
- eat more strawberries
- Stay on the "local" side (where the bakery tent is) to support your local farmers. Buying produce and other products from the "export" side doesn't do much for the NC/Raleigh economy!
- It should be the Farmers' Market, with an apostrophe, not Farmers Market
- Great place for regular and exotic meats and Paleo shopping! Check out building 3!
- White choc chip mini baguette from Le Farm.
- Only farmers market around open every day.
- Great to go and find fresh fruits and vegetables. Fridays are great to go because they aren't overly crowded. They even have little shops with knick knacks, and a great seafood & bbq restaurant!
- Great place for fresh veggies and fruits. Get there early because it gets HOT!!
- Make sure you stop for some Lumpy's Ice cream.
- Dog friendly
- Bring cash. You'll need cash for some vendors and the line can get long at the one Cash Points ATM here.
- Colorful cauliflower
- Tomatoes smelling like tomatoes hot red as they should be, short cucumbers smelling like cucumbers. You will find more vendors here than other farmers markets.
- Love this place! Been going since I was a kid and now take my own kids! My daughter loves it - talking to nice farmers & sampling fruits & veggies, learning about flowers...a great Saturday excursion!
- Tons of free samples and sweet southern folks!
- The German Bakery has the BEST goodies!
- The Les Halles of the South. Great for the fresh produce & pantry items like molasses, pepper jelly, pickles, etc.
- Got some terrific raspberries and okra there today.
- Check out Anders Natural Soap Company in The Market Shoppes. Good quality, local soaps... they make great gifts too.
- Everything fresh
