Foursquare Tips

  • Its easy for a Monte Cristo to go overboard with sweet, but Sassy JAC's strikes the perfect sweet-savory balance. To borrow from Joey Tribbiani: "Jam: Good. Meat: Gooood." (Gabe Hartwig)
  • RFT 2012 Best of St. Louis Winner - Best French Fries- Crisp, medium-thick, with a tender interior- tossed with diced garlic to perfection! http://bit.ly/QFYRqH
  • Summer beer (blue moon with a shot of citron) goes awesome with crawfish fritters and frog legs.
  • Standouts include a spicy blackened grouper sandwich, a club sandwich with chicken and andouille, excellent fried chicken in gravy (Wednesdays only) and topnotch garlic fries.

  • great food!
  • One of Soulards hidden gems. Easily one of the best restaurants in town. The chef made great recommendations and came and checked on how the food was after it had been served. Try the pecan chicken!
  • Fried pickle spears are the bombbbb! Their wings and crawfish fritters were also better than anything I've ever had. Great service, drinks, and specials and go on a week night to avoid a crowd.
  • Fries Taste Test: Our readers love the fries at Sassy JAC's.
  • things to try: fried pickles, muffuletta salad, and the gumbo. not a traditional gumbo, but still awesome.
  • Sassy JAC's menu has but a single entree: a rotating special called the "Weekly Tens." A crawfish-salad sandwich was the hit of our meals, sort of a mini-me of a Maine lobster roll. Joe Bonwich
  • Now that is a juicy burger. And those little crispies falling off the fries!
  • $3 hairless peach and SoCo lime shots!!!! All night!
  • Happy hour is from 4-7 Monday -Friday! $12 $ buckets - and everyday all day $3 wells!
