Tips

  • Wait for it... wait for it... there it is. The whole building shakes when Iron Man and/or the Men in Black are chasing their enemies through the NY subway.
  • best sushi in the slope. ask them what's fresh and treat yoself to a couple pieces of chu toro.
  • A bit expensive, and not Exactly what I would describe as "good.". There are much better sushi spots in the area. Instead go to 'Gen' on Washington ave. Much better food and presentation.
  • Bypass the lines at Geido and mosey down Flatbush Avenue for equally satisfying sushi at Taro. Dark, wood fixtures and minimal design provide a moody backdrop for indulgences like toro tartar.
  • Come with a date & get the Special Sushi for 2. It includes 16 pieces of sushi, a shrimp tempura roll & a mountain roll (spicy tuna, avocado & yellowtail) - all for $49. Everything is super fresh too!
  • Special sushi for 2 is absolute perfection.
  • My neighborhood sushi spot. My go-to dish is the massive special sushi for 2. There's also great little 4-piece sushi ensembles.
  • Omg-kase
  • Killer omakase. Get the special sushi for two to share amongst three is you get apps. They will make it for three as well.
  • Uhhh, this place has really good sushi!
  • Try the ankimo and toro tartar apps. Delicious!
  • Uni scallop special is a must!!!!
  • don't understand the mediocre reviews of Taro. this place is great and I'm generally a picky sushi eater. really fresh fish and awesome staff. order what's fresh. sushi sashimi combo is delish
  • Some of the best sushi in bk. Platter for two is great
  • Good nigiri sushi. Their chu toro is often delicious.
  • Such an awesome omakase here. Best sushi in all of Brooklyn!
  • the only place in Brooklyn I know of that serves my favorite - natto roll!
  • Gyu-tan shio is yum! Great appetizer before sushi for two!
  • The special sushi for two is always perfect. As is the monkfish liver and age tofu!
  • It's cheap, it's good, and it's never too much of a wait. Come a few times and the waitstaff will remember you.
