Foursquare Tips

  • Dishes like lamb on toothpicks and hot pots with a dozen different animal cuts bubbling in red oil show off exceptional clarity of flavor and an alchemical approach to spicing.
  • This chef-driven Sichuanese restaurant in SGV is exhibit A in well executed Chinese cuisine, with toothpick lamb, cold noodles, tea-smoked ribs, and boiled fish pots as must-order items.
  • I LOVE the dry fried spicy intestines
  • Delicious homemade dumplings and the smoked tea ribs are incredible.
  • Food could be spicier. Be sure to ask for full spicy before you order.
  • Cold noodles made an impression, but a Sichuan joint that doesn't serve dan dan noodles hurts the feelings of the Chinese people.
  • I want to know who made the music playlists cause it's on point. Oh yeah, food's good too.
  • Try their tea smoked ribs which are marinated for 2 to 3 days in a mixture of 17 different fresh herbs and spices, rubbed down with ginger, garlic, scallions, and Sichuan peppercorns to name a few.
  • Impressive Cold Noodle - thin noodle strands are tossed with a perfect blend of chili oil and vinegar. Experience multiple flavors in each bite include spicy, numbing sensation, garlic, tangy
  • This spot has been leading the way giving the community more options than just the typical mala, numbing spicy dishes. Their Impressive Cold Noodle is pretty impressive and perfect for a hot day.
  • The fish with green pepper shows the famous Sichuan peppercorn's intensely aromatic side.
  • If you love heat or even just extremity, many dishes will blow your palate out in a blaze of masochistic gratification, such as the boiled fish in red chili, or the "old-school hot pot starch noodle."
  • The Sichuan options just keep getting better in the San Gabriel Valley, and this year we really lucked out with Szechuan Impression.
  • Came here with high expectations, the food was only so-so. The cold noodles were quite good, as were the veggies, but the farmer chicken had NO meat and almost no flavor. Toothpick lamb was decent.
  • Named Best New Sichuan Restaurant Los Angeles 2014 in our 2014 Best of LA issue!

  • Not sure got there ordered after 10 minutes was told the kitchen is not able to make food. Had to go elsewhere.
