Tips

  • The pan fried pork chops are to die for here...but so is the fried butter poundcake. You've been warned.
  • A restaurant's ultimate 5-star review is the presence of off-duty chefs eating at its bar. Classic dishes are supplemented by more unconventional dishes to form a well-rounded, delectable meal.
  • Get the pork chops, kimchee fried rice, and the steak. You will leave happy (but waddling)!
  • Most amazing food on the island. Try the Pork Fried Rice, it's amazing just by itself and is good for breakfast the next morning. Fried Pork Chops were ridiculously flavorful.
  • Always a must, order the Pan Fried Island Pork Chops!
  • Pork chops are good.
  • The boneless pork chops are yummy! Not overly salty and nicely seasoned with a lemony taste. Must try!
  • My kinda place! Good food, cheap drinks, great staff and service. If you like good Hawaiian "bar food" and a laid back atmosphere, this is your spot!
  • Take out orders are pay with cash only
  • Skip the food court in the Ala Moana Center & come here. Ambiance is not much but the food is delicious. The pork chops sell out during lunch, so come early. During lunch, dishes are $1 off after 1pm.
  • Ask for chili pepper water
  • Try the Crispy Fried Chicken Gizzards! My favorite.
  • Side street inn "The Works" fried rice (w/ kim chee, chinese sausage, portugese sausage) - A great way to start off in Oahu!
  • So much food, not enough stomach! Ordered the pan fried island porkchop and side style famous fried rice. Bring a hearty appetite.
  • The fried porkchops and the side street inn fried rice=musts
  • If you love beef jerky, you need to try the Chyler's Beef Chips on the pupu menu. Crispy & tasty chops of beefy goodness. Only sold here and at craft fairs. Bet you can't eat just one...bag. ;-)
  • There's parking in the area, but valet parking is the most convenient and available right in front of the restaurant for $5.
  • Dope food! Pork chops, fried rice, buffalo strips are MUST TRYS! Great lychee martinis too!
  • After their own fancy kitchens have closed, some of Honolulu's top chefs head to this off-the-beaten-track neighborhood bar with TV sets on the walls and a back room with a dart board and neon beer si
  • Portions are huge, so get one per two people
