Tips

  • Pulqueria is the Mexican spinoff from the owners of Apotheke. In addition to food they offer beer, Micheladas, and Mexican inspired tequila and mezcal-based cocktails like pulques and Jarrito Locos.
  • Mexican in Chinatown; Try pulque (cocktail), tower of salsa and cactus salad
  • This bar specializes in pulques (made from fermented agave sap) and has a full menu with goodness like stuffed masa pockets known as Gorditas de Requeson O Papa Con Chorizo.
  • Go ahead, walk down that alley. It's the right place. Fear not, walk down those stairs into never land and choose the blue door. Then, all of the guac and queso.
  • Looking for an unmarked subterranean Mexican restaurant in the middle of Chinatown? Probably not, but now that you know it exists, you want to see it for yourself, dont you?
  • Great music. Expensive drinks. There were children here tonight....might have been the sweet 16 of the owners. Weird.
  • This is the entrance, go down the stairs, right next to Apotheque. Enjoy :)
  • sashimi tuna tostada was super fresh and yummeh. but maybe it was the jalepeno margs...
  • Best DJ everrrrrr if you ever find this place!
  • After dinner, the restaurant turns into a dance club.
  • FYI, the Moda vieja = old fashioned.
  • Riazul Tequila is flowing freely!
  • Go out of your comfort zone and try the pig brains! Better than the pig's feet. Guacamole is amazing.
  • Totally gorgeous space! Amazing cocktails and food! New secret best place! ;-)
  • Good portions of food and very tasty. The guacamole is a good option together with the tacos being the fried fish my favourites!!!
  • Really enjoyed the drinks here, well made creative cocktails. The music was pretty deafening in the lounge area.
  • This subterranean Mexican can improbably - yet credibly - lay claim to being one of the most expensive restaurants in Chinatown. You're paying for the atmosphere, although the food & cocktails are
  • Omg! Im obsessed with this place, so unique, so newyorker! Try everything!
  • Restaurant/Club in basement. Great (but quite loud) music plays in restaurant and bar/dance floor area. Recommend: Gringo Chicken Tacos, Tacos de Camarones, Esquites. Great Margarita list!
  • sashimi-tuna + avocado + chipotle + crispy onion <3
