Tips

  • Cute, charming cafe to get healthy sandwiches, soups and lattes. Borders on the expensive side but well worth it. Eat inside to enjoy 'eclectic' scenery.
  • The best brownies in Brookline!!!
  • Most food is vegan or vegetarian. Still, the most popular item is the tuna and brie sandwich, with honey mustard, brie, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and avocado (upon request)
  • Coffee is the bomb!
  • Try the Blueberry scones, chai with pumpkin spice, egg white and cheese on a raisin bagel. Yum!
  • Get any sandwich on the 7-grain bread, healthy and delicious!!
  • Buy a lemon ginger iced tea at Kookoo cafe (closed Sundays) in front of the Brookline Village T stop and enjoy it in nearby Emerson garden. Best on a sunny day.
  • Nice people! Love the eggplant and roasted pepper sandwich. Scones rock!
  • Excellent vegetarian options!
  • Good coffee and London fog. Ambience is chill and cozy.
  • Lemon ginger tea! Very good a mist on a warm day.
  • This cafe is the thing I miss most about living in Brookline. Good espresso, AMAZING scones, and yummy Persian food. Try the kookoo sabzi (an herby frittata), the lentil soup or the homemade hummus.
  • Good place for a coffee to go. If you are planning to stay there, be careful, it is not a comfy place and there is not enough space.
  • Their coffee is ok; not the best.
  • Everything I've ever had in Kookoo has been fabulous. I love the atmosphere, it's warm and cozy in the winter and airy and bright in the summer
  • Great atmosphere and of course great coffee.
  • Best scones ever in that small cosy place
  • The Avocado and Swiss wrap is awesome!
  • Coffee is truly outstanding, food creative & tasty, atmosphere cozy & friendly.
  • I used to get the Green Eggs and Cheese sandwich and a coffee every day. Best part of my mornings.
