Tips

  • The best dish isn't on the menu: Ask for the Heirloom burger, which has poisses cheese worked into the ground sirloin. You won't be disappointed -
  • FYI very tasty but not Italian
  • Corkage policy that encourages digging into your cellar: $25 for wines 2003 and younger and only $10 for wines 2002 and older.
  • It took the chef/owner/sommelier ten years to amass the 1000+ bottles of new and old wine in this spot's cellar. Grab an aged bottle for anywhere from 35 to 900 bucks.
  • My favorite restaurant in SF. Great taste, fresh local produce, great service and wine selection and the desserts are exquisite. Chef Josh and his team have something special going on there.
  • The "dirty burger" was awesome.
  • Brilliant wine selection. Everything is good; you can't go wrong.
  • Off the menu burger!
  • Great wine selection, very fresh California cuisine, and excellent service. Try the Buratta on Asparagus and the stewed mussels.
  • Beet salad, barrata, burger. Solid dinner you'll crave again. Delicious!
  • The potato gnocchi with fennel sausage, sweet corn, and crimini mushrooms is heavenly. Definitely order it.
  • Consistency delicious and unpretentious food. The bacon and onion tart is a must.
  • If you haven't ordered wine yet....you might as well just leave now.
  • Where they turn simple into special.
  • Zagat 25, recommended by SF Magazine
  • Scallops are super tasty, as well as the risotto
  • Off-menu burger was great and so worth coming back for! Duck was meh
  • Chicken and salmon are both delicious
  • The off menu burger is actually worth it
  • One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Check out their special events on their website! Great wine pairings.
