Tips

  • Patatas Bravas!
  • Try the lamb burger or the daily specials. Most lunch dishes range from $7 to $17. Tip: For you techies with laptops, the restaurant is quiet and the servers don't mind if you linger.
  • Great iced lattes, even better turkey cranberry bocadillos and don't get me started on the arm of gypsy.
  • Regardless of what time of day you sit down at this tapas bar, Gerald Hirigoyen's menu offers just the right treat. But if you want to avoid the dining masses, go at off-hours, between proper meals.
  • Notice: this tasteful slice of the Basque Country is BLADE FRIENDLY!
  • Tried the sausage, the shrimp, and the pork trotters. Everything was delicious. Don't forget desert either! Their olive oil cake is soooo good!
  • Everything here is great. Definitely get the chorizo.
  • Consistently excellent. Every dish was a winner! Best tapas I've ever had.
  • All the tapas are EXCELLENT! Don't miss the homemade chorizo, the prawns, the patatas bravas, the salads and everything you have space for. It was delicious!!!
  • Try the prawns a la plancha, a chorus line of seafood on a rectangular plate, tails curled and heads pointing the same direction. I don't remember when I've had such sweetshrimp.
  • New and delicious
  • The Whole Grain Salad "changes daily and never disappoints!". Click through for the full review.
  • The steak is so YUMMY
  • Fried chicken with Asian pears and walnuts is deeeelishious.
  • The Red Snapper Ceviche and Lamb Burgers are awesome.
  • Grilled chicken sandwich and prawn la plancha is good. The portion is small. I have had better sandwich and tapas in other places in this area.
  • Pork belly. Fries with eyes.
  • Formerly the location of the Black Cat Cafe, a historic location of the gay rights movement. http://m.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/After-long-legal-fight-life-of-Black-Cat-Cafe-5893609.php
  • Great Ceviche!
  • Jamon Serrano - very good, decent quantity too. Grilled prawns - good. Patatas Bravas - average.
