Foursquare Tips

  • Expensive as hell, but pretty tasty. I dig the gin and tonic pairings.
  • Churros! Gin! The bartenders!
  • Happy hour specials. 5:30-6:30pm daily. Basque-inspired bites like chorizo deviled eggs, boquerones on toast with mojo verde, and jamon and squash croquetas for $1 each.
  • Great tapas, though perhaps not truly authentic (I don't think they add kale to tortillas in the motherland).
  • Spanish rice, anchovy toast and pretty much everything else!
  • The small plates were fabulous. We tried some dishes I'd never had before and they were so good. The service was impeccable and she was great at ordering just enough of everything for our large party
  • Strong crew of bartenders related to Trick Dog, Cafe du Nord etc.
  • Everything is amazing. Get the mussels.
  • Try just about anything, but the pintxos:
  • The pinxtos with garlic aioli and sardine is the best bite. Also...that fried rice.
  • Don't be an animal and use the serving spoons on the table.
  • This swank Basque joint has the bonus of The Bon Vivants on drink duty, whipping up concoctions like gin and tonics on tap, Basque cider and Irish whiskey combos, and sherry a-go-go.
  • Try the escabeche.
  • If they have a tasting menu available for tapas, try it. You won't be disappointed.
  • Gambas, Spanish fried rice (their take on a paella, served in a hot iron dish), and the pinxtos sampler was great!
  • Literally everything. What a culinary surprise. I've been twice and can't wait to go back again!
  • Get the Spanish fried rice and the patatas bravas!
  • Get seated at the counter if you can because you get a view of the chefs at work as well as the expediter checking and adding final touches to every dish before they are served!
  • The duck and figs terrina was great, perfect pairing for a nice full bodied red wine
  • Solid bravas. However, as a San Sebastin devotee I wanted to love this place. I'd love to see more pintxos, and less San Francisco.
