Cheap (strong) drinks, cool nautical/pirate decor, and a very 'rock and roll' crowd. Redwood also occasionally will also have your favorite band playing live. Try the sliders and spicy fries to for a good bite to eat.

Tips

  • If you catch a mans eye in this place, hand it back immediately. Pirates dont take kindly to thieves.
  • Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Fun fact: Redwood still maintains a direct phone line to the Los Angeles Times city desk across the street.
  • Pirate themed pub is good for lunch if you have jury duty!!
  • My new favorite bar! Went there to see Big Sandy play...
  • Rock with a side of rum? Or how about some folk with those fries? Downtown's favorite (okay, Downtown's ONLY) pirate bar serves up a robust schedule of bands and performances.
  • Bring your ear plugs. The bands are blasting loud.
  • Say hi to kaitlyn m
  • Its a nice place..Bartenders are extremely interactive, the rocking live musics sounds great..!! Food and Drinks are preety fair for downtown!!
  • I was expecting very dusty and dark. It was neither. Interesting crowd.
  • The rule on theme joints is you cant force character. Unless that character is Black Bart. Who doesnt want to sit around a powder keg drinking with his mates? Naturally, order a bottle of rum.
  • The Redwood features a decent gastro pub menu, but trust that regulars will question your masculinity if you choose a chicken pesto panini over its half-pound grilled angus beef burger.
  • Pirate-tastic!
  • Awesome! Looks exactly like it did in 500 days of summer!
  • Dusty place! I will not order food here. Argh...
  • Where Tom and Summer started their adventure. Also the paninis are bomb.
  • new favorite bar. awesome music, drinks, food and people. ahoy!
  • Have the burger and or mac and cheese. Thank me later :)
  • Love it for the bands it attracts, I'd always recommend a show here. Everything else is just ok
  • Guinness and sliders makes for a great happy hour.
  • 7.50 for a PBR tall boy (24 oz.)
