Tips
- Raw Bar HH will change your life
- There are few places better to dine than Old Ebbitt Grill, the citys oldest saloon. The Grill has entertained presidents, generals, politicians, & just about every fat cat this town has ever known.
- Great for late-night bites, half-priced oysters and a dining room that screams history. Adam Richman, Man v. Food
- The kitchen is open until 1am, seven-days-a-week.
- Must try the Good Burger with blue cheese, jalapeo onion marmalade, shredded lettuce with A-1 aioli and of course bacon on the side.
- If you've always wanted to drink like a president, come to this Victorian-style saloon (the city's oldest watering hole) a favorite of presidents Teddy Roosevelt, Grant, and Cleveland.
- Be sure to ask for the oyster menu.
- This is one of my favorite places, best oysters, lobster special, pie, and martinis
- Its Washington to a T! Clubby, circa-1900 atmosphere. Around the corner from the White House. A well-supplied bar. Bounteous seafood. Cheerful service. Kind of touristy but still fun.
- It's popular with locals & tourists alike, but visitors may not know about the great happy hour @ Old Ebbitt. Go there b4 6 or after 11pm to enjoy half price oysters, steps away from the White House.
- A classic D.C. restaurant. Mix with politicos and tourists alike. Trout parmesan is exquisite, as is their fresh oyster selection.
- Half price Oyster Bar before 6 M-t. Great atmosphere. Lots of beer on tap. Crab cakes superb. Pork Chop too.
- Back bar. Margaret Ann BEST BARTENDER IN WASHINGTON.
- An oyster shooter is a great way to end a night.
- Check out their late-night happy hour. Mon-Thurs, 11pm-1am. Order the "Orca Platter". Amazing.
- One of my best meals in DC. Very attentive staff. Excellent Mussels. From the location and decor I expected this to be an expensive dinner stop but was pleasantly surprised at my tab.
