Tips

  • go with an open mind.
  • LA (See) Weird and wonderful museum/art project. Don't miss the microscopic mosaics made entirely out of the scales of butterfly wings and the 2nd floor tea room is charming.
  • Mikel Jollett of the Airborne Toxic Event says, Its just weirdpart farce and part academic exercise. They feature everything from miniaturized mobile-home dioramas to superstitious remedies.
  • Have a hearty debate over what is and isn't real. Admission is $8.
  • Look for the dude who wrote "India calling"
  • Tour 1 of LA's most zany museums > The Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City - http://ht.ly/5CuJ6
  • What. The. F**k.
  • free tea and cookies on the 2nd floor
  • Enter the alternate dimension within the Museum. Visit the tea room upstairs for a drink. Expect to see David Lynch characters.
  • Delightfully confounding.
  • neat place. make sure to visit the tea room on the top level.
  • I really have no idea what I just experienced. I think everyone comes on drugs, or at least I hope.
  • Take your time. Pick up the phones. Notice the details. This place is a gift.
  • Crazy but i liked it :-)
  • Like if Thomas Pynchon wrote a museum. This is maybe the best place in LA
  • This place is so freaking eerie. I keep thinking that the doors are gonna slide shut behind us, like in Scooby-Doo. There is this room on the 2nd floor that is like they are putting a hex on you.
  • Keep exploring, it's bigger than you first think. Make sure to try out the tea lounge and roof garden.
  • No complaints it's something you have to see for yourself.
  • Check out the sloth
  • Get to learn a bit more about what things are. Awesome place!
