  • No trip to Monterey would be complete without dinner here. Off the beaten path and well worth it!
  • Best kept secret seafood place in Monterey
  • Calling ahead for a reservation is a must. If you're unable to get one, they do take walk-ins. Talk to the bartender (Jose) to get seated at the bar, which is faster than waiting for a table.
  • This place is awesome, but make sure you have a reservation! Recommendation: Mussel Marinara.
  • The Sicilian Calamari is great. The calamari itself is OK but the sauce is fantastic.
  • Amazing! We couldn't get a reservation, so opted to sit at the bar. Great service and delicious food. The clam chowder and the crab cakes were the best we've ever had. The crab ravioli: yum!,
  • So good. Definitely try the Monterey spotted prawns.
  • Start with the Oak Roasted Oysters.
  • Great place in a town full of shitty tourist places. Great seafood at reasonable priced.
  • If you have to wait for a table (which you will) prepare to get pissed. This place is seriously lacking in space

  • Sea food pasta is perfect but it is much more like a soup
  • Best Cioppino EVER! Make reservations, this local spot fills up really fast having only about 15 tables.
  • Always make a reservation.
  • Try the squid steak or the Sicilian holiday pasta!
  • Not on the menu but ask for the Ravioli
  • The wood grill is the key. Start with grilled oysters or baby octopus and head towards some fish and veggies. Tasty are the lamb chops which aren't on the menu. If zuppa then ciopino > boulliabase.
  • Try the wood grilled octopus
  • I bet you are asking, "What's up with cooking pan at the table and why is it on fire?" It's bananas foster and you won't regret it!
  • Good food & service.
