Tips

  • Try the blueberry mead! I'm typically not a fan of blueberry flavored drinks but had to buy a bottle of this bc it was sooo good!
  • Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great to try something new
  • Every mead is delicious. Try them all!
  • Very unique! Was alright not my favorite. The lady giving us the tasting was very nice
  • Fun to stop in for a tasting. The carbonated lighter meads were really impressive, especially the chai one.
  • Definitely do a tasting--it was one of the highlights of my Portland trip!
  • They make their mead in a unique and special way, try it! Felt like I was at a wine tasting.
  • The carbonated meads are quite refreshing at a lower ABV...7% compared to the range of 12.5%. It's like a middle of the road beer at 7%. Don't pass them up when in town!
  • Very unique-- not much to see on the tour but the tasting was good. Lavender lemonade was the highlight.
  • Don't sniff the lavender mead before sampling, it changes the flavor in a wonderful way
  • Had a great tasting here!! Especially loved the lavender, dry hopped and spiced meads. You can even mix them in cocktails or with each other. The Ram Island Iced Tea is killer for summer.
  • Spiced and Lavender meads are amazing! Great employees; fun tasting & tour!
  • Maine Mead Work's HoneyMaker Dry Mead is DELICIOUS. Pairs well with lobster!
  • Part of the Maine Wine, they do make a Tea-Mead-Cider hybrid that is just out of this world.
  • Take the tour and have a tasting!
