Foursquare Tips

  • Get there EARLY on a Sunday morning and walk home while you finish off a hot Pletzel ("board.")
  • You can't go wrong with a bialya pillowy round thing that looks a little bit like a bagel but will SURPRISE YOU when you bite into it and are overcome by the taste of onion.
  • Some of the city's best bialys at this old school Jewish bakery.
  • open very late on Saturday night... pick up some stuff for breakfast!
  • When we're downtown, we love to stop in here for a delicious bialy. The bagels are not to be missed either though!
  • Best Bialys in the city!!
  • Disappointing :(
  • The classic sandwich is fantastic. Lox, tomato, red onion, capers and EVERYTHING CREAM CHEESE.
  • Even in the late afternoon, there were plenty of bagels and bialys and drinks to choose from... any of the bialys are well worth the trip!!!
  • Bialys are great but the babka....OMG. Do not leave without one of these babies. Seriously. Do yourself a favor and get both. (They freeze well too )
  • Next door to Doughnut plant..tip get a veggie cream cheese bialy and walk over and get a creme brle doughnut sweet and salty perfection
  • No longer kosher
  • Whole wheat everything bagel is my number one choice these days.
  • Unpopular opinion: just "okay" for me.
  • The bialies have changed; they're very big and pillowy now
  • The best Bialy. New owners modernized the operation and added new products. Still my favorite.
  • On the weekends, be sure to press the handle and take a number - they'll call them out and flash on a sign just like at Russ & Daughters. During the week, no numbers necessary, just line up.
  • Forget the bialys, they have BABKA FRENCH TOAST
  • Their Salmon bagels (fish or cream) are very good
  • Its been all prettied up. The babka is really good, the bialys and onion pletzel aren't what they used to be
