  • Back to the '30s at Shanghai's most famous hotel and jazz bar. Excellent cocktails. Reservation highly recommended / required !
  • Old but emotionless band, below average cocktails and a high minimum. Novelty is high but that's about it.
  • Amazing band. They've been playing here for 30 years!
  • Come early for the oldest jazz band in shanghai maybe china
  • The band before 10am is the famous old jazz band, music is "interesting" and old Shanhai. After 10pm the band from US is great, very nice real jazz music
  • The draft beer is watered down
  • . . . . .
  • 200 RMB minimum charge per person - cute old jazz band playing
  • The atmosphere is great for a drink and some good music.
  • About the most expensive place in Shanghai. If the band was any good, it might be worthwhile, but that's not the case.
  • Music is awesome but the food is subpar
  • High table minimum coupled with jazz that is in desperate need of at least some semblance of emotion makes for a somewhat desperate time, but the novelty/cute factor is definitely present.
  • Nowadays "The Old Band" plays from 7:30 and are accompanied by a singer from 9:45.
  • Minimum order (on Saturdays) is 200 RMB p/p. Apparently. But it's worth it. The band is great.
  • Old time jazz band plays 5:30-7:00pm followed by New York Jazz band from 7:00-midnight. Great atmosphere people a must for those visiting Shanghai head towards Peace Hotel on the Bund.
  • Have a Manhattan in Shanghai at the Jazz Bar.
  • Book a table!
  • The drummer, "Larry", is really cute!
  • some of the old jazz band members are my grandpa's age!!! impressive
  • I was wrong - back on Wednesday- great jazz band, bass, drummer and singer
