  • Sick selection of beers. Stick around for the piano guy
  • Friday's sing-alongs are fun!
  • German food at it's best! Fried pickles, beer pitchers, potato pancakes, wienerschnitzel, and a great piano sing-a-long on Fridays!
  • The best place to spend a night around Christmas time drinking beer and singing Christmas carols. During the non-holiday season, the German beer selection is best in Boston. Pair it with a braut.
  • Don't forget their awesome and free cornbread!
  • Beer heaven, fresh cornbread and potato pancakes! Wow better hit the gym in the morning or gain 5 pounds in a single sitting.
  • Don't go on a hot day, unless you want an excuse to drink more beers (great strategy). Not really well ventilated but food/beer selection is great before a show.
  • 14Jacob Wirth, Boston's favorite German Ale House since 1868, pours from an extensive beer list and delivers a 1/4 pound Angus beef burger with a Bud Light draft for just $5 every Mon-Frid until 2pm.
  • The Spaten Lager and the German Mixed Grill are a killer combo...if you're a big sausage fan of course.
  • Huge selection of beers, awesome margaritas. Saturday nights are fun with the sing-a-long piano sessions :)
  • Best bar ever, you can sing while you are drinking that's is a party!!!! SING-ALONG WITH MEL.
  • The piano player, Mel is awesome -- what a character! Tip him well.
  • THEY HAVE ROOT BEER FLOATS. FOR $1 EACH. They also have Guinness Floats for $5.
  • Not on the beer menu often, the cask conditioned ales are not to be missed.
  • Drink a German beer here that you've never tried before. I recommend the Aventinus. Cheers.
  • They have Schneider Aventinus on tap, so complex and unlike anything else out there.
  • Order your appetizer with your drinks or it'll either come with your entree or not at all.
  • Love the history and story behind Jacob Wirth (see link below). Check above the bar, SUUM CUIQUE, Latin for, Each his own. Great selection of beers & comfort food. Nice to go to pre/post theater.
  • Try the Sauerbraten or you have wasted your time
  • Pretzels wienerschnitzel heffeweisen... Oh my.
