Foursquare Tips

  • Supposedly until 1976 the place was a gentlemen's club where women were not allowed (unless they were prostitutes).
  • Stepping in here feels like you're going back in time. To an era where people were old and ugly. They carried on with uncomfortable conversation about their startups and hairlines...
  • If you don't want a mixed drink that takes five minutes to make and just want a beer, go somewhere else.
  • Haven't been since Schlomo left.
  • SF Weeklys Best Of 2011 Winner Editorial Pick BEST OLD-SCHOOL BARThis comfy, classy rendezvous is even more welcoming since last year's careful, loving six-month restoration
  • Stepping in here feels like stepping back in time, & the strong pours & lack of televisions help the illusion.
  • The men's urinal probably qualifies for it's own Foursquare location.
  • Schlomo isn't here!!!!!
  • Get the moscow mule!
  • I am not fictional. I'm the owner!
  • schlomo wasnt there!
  • Ignore the special here. Schlomo hasn't even worked or been here in 2 years
  • Do something that seems like a good idea but you'll regret later
  • Come early to get a good laugh with Patrick!
  • Drink until you see furbies running around
  • Big blocks of ice!!!!
  • "Tell everyone we're open from 2pm - six days a week" - Eric 'elderflower special' the barman
  • Don't fall for the 4square special about schlomo. It's a scam.
  • One of the oldest bars in SF (read: has character on a good way). They have a house cocktail with bourbon and honey which is outstanding.
  • I used to own it for almost 10yrs and they are still getting bothered by my old Foursquare deal!
