Foursquare Tips

  • Destination-worthy Northern Chinese in a nicer than average setting. Don't miss the Muslim Lamb Chop, which is braised until fall-apart tender, rolled in cumin seeds, and deep fried.
  • Muslim lamb chop ($21.95), braised until fall-off-the-bone tender, fried until crisp, and jacketed with an intensely flavored coating of cumin? Yes Virginia, we're still in China.
  • Service here is terrible! Came on a weeknight after 9PM and it still took over 40mins to get food. Every time we asked where our food was they said "its coming..." WTF.....
  • Try the candylike Ba Si. Deep-fried taro, sweet potato and apple form the starchy base of this funky, interactive Northern Chinese dessert. Its one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
  • Brian lee said "the food here is off the chains!!!!"
  • Try the Muslim lamb and the eggplant. The lamb is very unique and delicious.
  • Get the potatos and special sauce and eggplant in garlic sauce.
  • Fu Run specializes in the cooking of Chinas Northeast, the region formerly known as Manchuria. Consider ordering the massive rack of fatty ribs known as Muslim lamb chop, braised, battered, fried.
  • I have nothing positive to say about varying Moo Shoo dishes but the Shredded Pork with Black Bean Sauce is amazing. The tofu skin definitely kicks it up a notch! Nommm nomm...
  • The best Chinese food I've ever had, but their famous Ba Si dessert takes 20-30 minutes to make so order early.
  • Free parking around the corner
  • Get the tiger vegetable. Be prepared for small shrimps and big cilantro. I recommend you ask for it with extra peppers.
  • Go for the Di San Xian... Fu Run finally reunited me with this amazing veggie dish that I ate daily while living in China.
  • Sour cabbage and pork is amazing! Also love the Muslim lamb.
  • Cumin crispy fish and eggplant were my favorite dishes. The meat pancakes were also super delicious. Cumin lamb ribs were also tasty but it destroyed me it's a large dish.
  • While everyone raves about the Muslim lamb, we preferred the similarly cumin spiced crispy fish even more. Also big fan of their shredded pork in black bean sauce and lo mein. Skip dumplings .
  • Muslim lamb chops are legit but you have to like lamb!
  • Hole in the wall
  • Lamb chops
  • Pork ribs and sweet taro
