  • The French Market was originally a Choctaw trading post. Dating back to 1791, it is the oldest documented farmers market in America. -Travel Editor
  • Take a stroll
  • Buy 1500 thread count sheets from me for 35 dollars
  • Let's be honest here folks... While there is certainly a treasure trove of history at this location, the multitude of vendors hawking useless knick-knacks doesn't exactly make for a NOLA experience.
  • Browse all the vendors- $1 magnets, $3 books, $5 sunglasses! Support local vendors! :)
  • You can find almost every type of food here. And souvenirs too.
  • You have GOT to get a cold, refreshing drink from the Organic Banana--- non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks made fresh...the Pia Colada was awesome, as was the Mango Rum Punch!
  • Buy my 1500 tc sheets for 35 dollars!
  • Go to Organic Banana and get a pia colada (everything we had was good there!)

  • French Market / Flea Market is a mix of Artist/souvenirs. Close up about 4pm& open all wk. PPL often mistake the flea Market as a bargaining game,if ur buying frm a artist plz respect their pricing.
  • Meandering around this historic French quarter flea market, you can grab some food, drinks, and very unique souvenirs made by some of New Orleans best artisans!
  • Do a walk around before buying anything. A different vendor might have it cheaper, or in a style you like better. Also, be nice to them and most vendors will take down the price a few dollars.
