Tips

  • Elvis Aaron Presley was born on Jan. 9, 1935, in this two-room house built by his father and grandfather. The Presleys lived here only two years before tight finances forced them to move.
  • Got to see the Church Video of young Elvis, such humble beginnings!! Makes Tupelo proud.
  • Come by & sit a spell on the porch swing at the birthplace of the King of Rock-n-Roll.
  • I did NOT see Elvis, but met 8 of his cousins. ;)
  • Elvis's birthday was actually January 8, according to numerous sources, not January 9.
  • Take a pic outside the home and church and do the walk of life and enter the memorial chapel free of cost. If you pay for something it should be the church experience.
  • This is a must see part of America
  • Too much, overkill but I do like Elvis.
  • It's a small museum, but worth a visit if you are an Elvis fan
  • A lot of history
  • Got to visit with lady in his house that actually knew Elvis
  • Make sure you check their hours before going. They don't usually open until the afternoon.
  • This stop along our road trip was truly a surprise. The property where Elvis grew up has been transformed into a gorgeous park that pays tribute to the rock legend's childhood and life.
  • Visit the King's birthplace is something very special. The Church is very interesting as well.
  • Very nice. We arrived before opening, so weren't able to take the actual tour, but we did walk around the grounds and enjoy the area. Seems to be very informative about Elvis' early life.
  • Make sure to check out the movie theater on the back of the museum building, movies are shown every half hour and they are free to enter.
  • This would be historic, if this were his actual house and belongings. Elvis's father was a drunk, and their house burned to the ground in a fire, meaning everything in it and the house itself is fake.
  • Good visit... Nice weather!
  • Cool place :)
  • Too bad everything about Elvis is always in the ghetto...even Graceland.
