Tips

  • Open on to the public on weekends. Touch the anchor of the Edmund Fitzgerald... Climb aboard the wheelhouse of a lake freighter... Enjoy panoramic views of the Detroit River. Free admission!
  • Check out the "Miss Pepsi" speed boat in the front atrium outside the museum.
  • The remodeling has added a lot of great exhibits, including stuff that kids will enjoy. As always, the view from the William Clay Ford wheelhouse is great when a freighter passes by.
  • Nice place with great history and unoque items. Definitely will be visiting again as a family.
