MIRA LOMA, Calif., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Del Real Foods today launched a fall promotion that will reward one philanthropy and one contestant with up to $5,000.

Running through Sunday, December 11, Del Real Foods' inaugural Facebook Sweepstakes will donate $1 to its prize bank for every Facebook 'like' it receives.  At the conclusion of the sweepstakes, one contestant will be eligible for up to $5,000 in prize money and will also have the opportunity to donate to a preselected non-profit philanthropic cause of their choice.

Philanthropic categories include Hunger, Environment, Animals, Children's Health and Veterans causes.  The total prize bank amount (up to $10,000) will be split evenly between the winning contestant and the philanthropy of their choice.

"As we move into the end of the year, we wanted to launch a campaign that would engage consumers and our social audiences, while helping support philanthropic efforts that they are passionate about," said Socorro Morales, Marketing Manager Del Real Foods.  "Whether in the form of funding, time, participation or effort, giving back to the community is a long-standing pillar of Del Real Foods' broader company mission and values.  The rollout of our Facebook Sweepstakes is another great way for us to contribute to worthy causes with the added opportunity for our customers to potentially take home prize money at the same time."
