Foursquare Tips

  • "At Chilli Garden, owner Zheng Hu imports hot bean sauce, chilis, pickles, wild mushrooms, peppercorns, and other spices directly from Sichuan province.
  • Seriously amazing food. It's never a disappointment. Get the double cooked pork belly. You won't regret it.
  • For very spicy food lovers, try the sliced beef, omasum, and tendon from the sichuan appetizer section. Have it with rice, it's heaven.
  • Try the lamb. It's amazing! Seriously!
  • Dan Dan noodle is delicious.
  • I am a huge fan of the spicy Szechuan style dishes, you can order something else but you would be missing out. Takeout is an easy alternative as well.
  • The pineapple fried rice is outstanding! Chunks of pineapple and a slight hint of asian spices. Delightful!
  • Spicy beef tongue is one of the best dishes here.
  • Good Sichuan food in general, but especially the Ma Po Tofu is about the best I've had.
  • Probably the best sichuan cuisine in Boston!
  • The Suan La Chow Show is fantastic.
  • Disappointed. Way too salty and not spicy enough. Will never return.
  • Be prepared to sniffle and tear and get burned by chili goodness!!
  • Don't forget to mention 5% discount if you're paying with cash!
  • Try the cold noodles. Killer!
  • The sliced pork belly with fresh garlic is spicy pork fat heaven in a bowl. We sometimes just eat from the Sichuan appetizer menu. Don't say I didn't warn you when you crave it weekly.
  • If anything, they can be a little inconsistent, but James M is right - they serve fantastically authentic Szechuan cuisine. Try the Ma Po Tofu, or Dry Bean Curd w/ Celery Salad
  • If you leave here thinking the food isn't great you have ordered off the western menu. This is one of the best Sichuan restaurants outside of NYC
  • Easily the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. all meats were super dry. portions are tiny. prices are very high. they deserve to go out of business...soon!
  • Spicy beef spareribs noodle soup...just do it
