BEST FOOD TRUCKS 2012: #83

Showing up in various parts of The Lou, Cha Cha Chow offers non-traditional tacos (short rib, "Baja style" roasted chicken, curried sweet potato — the latter two on flour tortillas) along with a pretty good burger and a "Cuban Crime of Passion" — pulled pork, pickles, cheese, and mustard on a double-toasted roll. Seasoned fries served with spicy ketchup are a side dish. — Colman Andrews, 11/13/2012

Foursquare Tips

  • The tender, beefy short-rib taco with crunchy cabbage-lime slaw is the can't-miss option here. A close second: the curried sweet-potato taco. Street food at its finest. (Evan S. Benn)
  • Vote to help get Cha Cha on The Great Food Truck Race! Text FT026 to 66789 - can vote up to 10x a day. Get on it!
  • I could eat the beef short-rib tacos every day and never tire of them. The creamy sauce they use is absolutely magical.
  • If they have loaded fire fries get them... Worth the 2 hours of cardio later
  • I recommend the grilled fish and bbq pork!
  • Feeding a family? Cha Cha is selling a holiday "survival sack": tortillas, Cha Cha sauce, salsas and slaw plus taco fillings -- sweet potato, chicken, pork, beef short rib or fish. (Evan S. Benn)
  • From the brink-n-mortar location on the Hill, this fresh fish taco drizzled with Cha Cha sauce, chopped Jalapenos, & cilantro lime slaw to make the griddled walking taco worth it. (GLENNMADE FILMS)
  • Best Dirty Sanchez in town.
  • The Cuban sandwich platter has quickly become my favorite Cha Cha offering. Tender pork covered with ooey-gooey cheese and pickles.
