Tips

  • Bistro du Midi is a Restaurant with a capital R. None of that upscale pub grub thats been going around. No waiters who want to be your pal.
  • There are few restaurants in Boston our staffers recommend to friends more frequently than Provence-inspired Bistro du Midi. In its favor: location, vibe, versatility, and of course, the food.
  • If you like squid & octopus, try the Squid Ink Tagliatelle, Braised Spanish Octopus, Chilies, Preserved Lemon, Manchego Cheese. This dish is delicious! Wonderfully pronounced squid/octopus taste.
  • Theres no better place in town to indulge in wine and charcuterie, those most Gallic of pleasures, than here. The Boston Globe has named Bistro du Midi the citys Best French Restaurant."
  • The dessert was amazing and the food and wine. Some of their food choices were questionable but it was all delicious.
  • Tuna tartare is awesome. Duck. Caramel beignet. Wonderful wine list. This is one of my best restaurants.
  • Veal and rabbit tagliatelle pasta dish was to die for! The free side, we picked string beans, was a perfect supplement to our meal. The Italian red wine by the glass was perfect with my dish.
  • The asparagus soup is phenomenal!
  • Get the fries - they are dayliceeous! And the poached lobster w/o pancetta OMG
  • Food and service were high quality. The steamed mussels appetizer was wonderful. Wines by the glass get a generous pour.
  • Skip lunch. Come here for dinner and have the best ragu youll ever eat.
  • Everything both looked and tasted exceptional. Surprisingly light tasting for a French restaurant. Server was excellent and the chef was very accommodating to a dietary concern. Great for date night.
  • A French Provencal bistro overlooking the Boston Public Garden, this restaurant found the ideal way to bring together the passion for ingredient-driven cuisine with a refined, classic technique.
  • Sitting at the bar is such a lax way to enjoy it here.
  • Love the charcuterie here! But everything is delicious!
  • Try black sesame desert/icecream
  • Sit on the 2nd floor for a nice brunch overlooking the park. Croque monsieur was to die for. Very attentive staff.
  • Cozy, nice fireplace, excellent French food and an impressive wine list. A must try!
  • Croque monsieur !!
  • Great brunch place. Wide wine selection. Nice terrace and views to the park
