Tips

  • from the owners of the beehive in the south end, described as a "subterranean restaurant-bar-nightclub"
  • If you're planning on eating, arrive early or plan on waiting a while for a table (or eating at the crowded bar). Try one of the ingeniously developed cocktails, like the Purple Door.
  • The highly anticipated Harvard Square project from the team behind The Beehive has opened with a jazzy flourish. There's wine on tap, plenty of upscale comfort food, and live music every night.
  • I guess this passes for cool if you're in Harvard Square
  • Great vibe, great decor that hints of the 60s with a very current menu. If you're doing brunch, the warm, homemade coffee cake is a must. The array of breakfasts we ordered for brunch were amazing.
  • Fantastic for a nice dinner with cocktails and live music.
  • I saw my first flamenco performance there. Drinks, food, ambience and music were superb
  • Very cool jazz club! Huge underground space with two bars. Charming bartenders and great cocktails.
  • Awesome new bar/restaurant in the heart of Harvard. Great atmosphere. Jazz music every night. Try the Lamb Chops. They were amazing. They have wine on tap here. No joke!
  • Jordan Piantedosi's maximalist work is all over this place - Amazing!
  • This place has live bands and yet you're not allowed to dance. the bouncer will come tell you to stop! Great food but way overpriced, $17 hamburger?!...this is why I can't stand Cambridge!
  • Cool spot for cocktails and live jazz
  • Burroughs probably wouldn't hang out here.
  • If you don't order the lamb nachos, duck breast, or swordfish tacos you haven't lived life to the fullest.
  • Great jazz brunch
  • Get the ribs
  • Great bartenders, great menu, great atmosphere. An unexpected treat.
  • Art is fantastic! So peter max/psychedelic/maximalist/art nouveau/whatever!!!!! Food is good - this will be a fun place. Only went once, but boy is it beautiful.
  • Super cool interior!
  • New concept and friendlier service. Staff is very helpful with the menu and very knowledgable about beer. Not many vegan food options.
